In reply to: Making a clickable headerYou can also set a fixed width and height of your header image area to match the size of your background image on the a tag. That should work also.

In reply to: why wordpress is too slowMichael,
I too am having this problem. It has just appeared about two to three weeks ago. I have deleted the pingomatic as you suggested, but still no luck. It even takes about 1 minute to login to the system before the admin pages come up.
I have optimized my db, read the forums, searched google, spoke to my host and still the same issue. I am running 2.2.1 with PHP 5.1.6, MySQL 5.0.27 standard, and Apache 1.3.37.
Any help you can provide would be mostly appreciated.

In reply to: plugin.php Warning: call_user_func_array errorOk, found the problem. The Social Bookmarks plugin has an array function call for the wp_head. The problem is there is no defined function in the Social Bookmarks plugin. I commented out the section and all seems fine now.

In reply to: plugin.php Warning: call_user_func_array errorDidn’t make a difference, as I reloaded the plugin.php and function.php with no change. I also didn’t make any modifications to either of these files. Any other ideas would be appreciated as I’m not sure what the error message means.

In reply to: Centering floatsYep, floats can’t be centered, but using the margin: auto 0; should do the trick.
Guess I should have looked at the code a little better with the CSS….
good catch Root and Otto!

In reply to: Hosting recomendations/experienceMacsoft,
Can you email me with the problems that you have had with the m so I can “keep my eyes” out? I haven’t had any problems except when they got hit with a port attack, but that was their entire system.
Thanks!

In reply to: Centering floatsHave you tried playing around with
text-align: center;and see if that works?I remember doing that along time ago, but don’t remember how I accomplished it. I see in the code you are using lightbox, so you might try putting it on the img tag.

In reply to: Hosting recomendations/experienceI am using HostMonster and have had no problems with them. They also use Fantastico, and their support for a few issues that I created has been really great.
Let me know if you need further info about them:
