In reply to: [Simple Download Monitor] Unable to get file thumbnail to workOK. I had “None” selected for the Link URL.
I changed the Link URL to “File URL”, and now my image shows!
See page below:http://www.emailoverloadsolutions.com/download-ebook-test/
So, now I have a thumbnail image.
But it is very small. Is there a way to display a medium sized image instead of such a small thumbnail? Thanks.

In reply to: [Simple Download Monitor] Unable to get file thumbnail to workHere is a link to a page on my site with the issue of the image not showing for the download item.
http://www.emailoverloadsolutions.com/download-ebook-test/
I have tried different images, but nothing is ever displayed no matter what image I choose.
mra13: If you are the plugin author, I would be willing to give you access to login to my site to investigate and see if you can find the source of the issue. If interested, please contact me at:

Thanks.

In reply to: [Simple Download Monitor] Unable to get file thumbnail to workAny more ideas about the broken image links and the “Error with AJAX” message? Everything else about the plugin looks perfect for what I want to do, I just want to assign an image to the download link as the final piece!
THanks. If it helps, my site is: http://www.emailoverloadsolutions.com

In reply to: [Simple Download Monitor] Unable to get file thumbnail to workOK.. Just tested the image URL, and it works fine.
It links to a PNG file that is 439K in size. But, maybe this is related, I just hit “remove image” to try a different image, and I got an error message that says “Error with AJAX” ??
I tried a few different images from either my computer or my media library, and they all load with the broken image symbol.
Any idea what this is about? Perhaps related?
Thanks.

In reply to: [WordPress Follow Buttons Plugin – AddThis] AddThis Follow Buttons on PageTry putting this code into your page where you want your “follow” bar to appear. It worked for me:
<div class=”addthis_horizontal_follow_toolbox”></div>
Make sure you enter it using the “text” tab of your post or page editor, not the “visual” page.
Good luck!

In reply to: [WP125] Compatible with WordPress v. 4.0 ?Anyone running this on WordPress 4.0?
It doesn’t seem like the developer monitors this plugin site anymore, so I am worried that this plugin is no longer supported or maintained and not sure what will happen if I move to Word press 4.0.

In reply to: [WP125] Compatible with WordPress v. 4.0 ?Jan,
Wow. I had no idea that would happen. Apologies if it caused “alarm bells” in the WordPress.org world.
I actually reviewed all of my WordPress plugins (about 40 of them), and about 25 were all listed as “4.0” compatible..so no worries with them.. and then I have about 5 real simple and “low risk” plugins that I wasn’t really worried about them. So that left about 10 I was concerned about since they seemed to have a potentially bigger impact.
I was hoping that the plugin authors may just not have updated the plugin site with the latest information, or that others had already tested and could say that they worked.
Last time I did a WordPress upgrade, I did have a several issues and had to actually disable some plug-ins and then rush around and try to find other alternatives to make my site work properly again, so I was hoping to avoid that by getting “confirmation” that the plug-ins were 4.0 compatible. Seems that some of the plug-ins are not ‘actively supported’ and may use features that are no longer valid in the newest releases.
Unfortunately, I don’t have the resources to set-up a test installation since I only have a single site and just do this as a very small, part-time activity. I’m not even sure how I could do a test of a “copy” of my site. If there is a “tutorial” on how to do that, however, I would be happy to look through it and see if it is something I can figure out (although my technical skills are fairly limited). I am (honestly) happy my site even works some days!
Apologies again for the “alarm bells” I set off.
Regards,
Dr. Michael Einstein

In reply to: [Post Content Shortcodes] Multiple shortcodes in one post/pageWell.. I tried the upgrade, but same issue 🙁
I also decided to try turning of my Cache plugin, but no change there either.
I did find a error.log in my “root” directory and it has the same error over and over, so no idea what it means. But it goes back many months.
[04-Sep-2014 14:47:08 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Cannot redeclare format_to_post() (previously declared in /home1/einstej8/public_html/wp-includes/formatting.php:1284) in /home1/einstej8/public_html/wp-includes/deprecated.php on line 3440
Is this related to your plugin at all?
There is also a error.log file in my actual URL home directory, but it has no updates since early last month, so nothing in there.

In reply to: [Post Content Shortcodes] Multiple shortcodes in one post/pageOk.. Let me try the plugin upgrade first (easy enough to try!).
And if that doesn’t work, I will try to find my server error logs and see what they say.
Will let you know in a bit.
Thanks so much for trying to figure this out!

In reply to: [Post Content Shortcodes] Multiple shortcodes in one post/pageYes- That is exactly what happens.
When I add a second shortcode right under the first but to a second post, then my entire page ends up empty except the header title. All the content just “vanishes”. If I take out the second shortcode, then everything returns.
I don’t get any error message at all on the screen.. just a screen that says “home” at the top.. everything else is blank..
I can probably publish my “draft” page out to my site if you want to look at the HTML for the page.
