Did you insert the gallery with the Insert Gallery Window or using a shortcode? If the IGW, you can convert the IGW placeholder to a shortcode by viewing the post in text.
Any chance you could share the shortcode you have there? Just want to see what its referencing in terms of gallery id. There just seems to a disconnect as if your inserted gallery is not referring to the right gallery id or something.
Hey @isofotografia,
From the looks of it, my guess is that there is a javascript error of some kind on that page that interrupting JS. There is a lot of missing JS related interface in your screenshot. The JS error could be from NGG or another plugin, and still interrupt things.
Are you familiar with the javascript console? Just go into the menu of your browser and look for something like View > Developer > Javascipt console in Chrome or Develop > Show Javascript console in Safari. If you can find that and send a screenshot we may be able to identify what’s causing the error.
When you open it, it will look like this:

If NGG has the JS error, then that wouldn’t help. Again we may be able to tell that if you can get a screenshot of your console.
Thanks,
ErickHi @isofotografia,
To confirm, if you go to a page or a post and click the Add Gallery button, you should get the Insert Gallery Window. It is redesigned, but all the same functionality is there. It should look like this:

You’d just need to select your gallery where it says Select a Gallery in that screenshot, and then choose a display type.
Is that what you are seeing?
Update: We’ve pushed a release for this (version 2.2.46). If anyone gets a chance to update and check, we’d love to get at least a few confirmations this is fully resolved for you.

Hey all – we’ve confirmed this issue. It was introduced in our latest release yesterday. We’re looking at it now and we’ll keep you updated. We’ll get it resolved as quickly as possible.
Our apologies. The latest release had no changes related to album functionality, so it is not obvious why albums would have been affected. That’s also why we missed this in testing.

Hey @paradime – Just checking in. Have you tried the update? If it works (and I hope it does for you), can you please update your rating and review here?
Hi all – We’ve been working on this and finally have a work around for the PHP bug.
The following copy of NextGEN 2.2.20 should run with any version of PHP (including the bugged versions: 7.0.26, 7.1.12, 7.2RC6, and 7.2.0). Feel free to give it a try and let us know if you have issues.
