Great, thank you, I think I will deactivate Jetpack subscriptions and install a comment subscription plugin. Thanks!

Figured out a partial work-around. Used my Android phone’s “SmartActions” to create a task that launches the website everyday 2 minutes after the posts are supposed to go live. Then I realized that my phone had to be unlocked for it to launch the internet, so set a daily alarm for 1 minute before the SmartAction, to unlock my phone.

…not the cleanest workaround, but will see if it works tomorrow morning. Had checked BlueHost (my host), but couldn’t find a CRON option (and even if it did, I’m not great with all the html & php talk…), so I guess I’ll stick with this for now until I figure something better out.

    Thanks for the help

Thank you both for your speedy replies. From past experience with the issue, it sounds like it may be from low traffic on the site & that the post does not publish until someone has visited the site. While some may not see this as an issue, since the social media has a 2 hour offset, this screws up my plan of publishing social media posts at the desired time (plus I aim for consistency in post time).

What would be the easiest way to remedy this (other than my manually visiting the site at 0800 every day)?

    Thank you for your time,
    Brian

    Chris, thanks for your reply.

I added those div tags, but as you can see, it is still not quite working (the div tags enclose the “Hobbies Outside EAF” section).

I can continually resize the image until it just so happens that the size forces the Hobbies section below the image, but this feels like a shotty temporary fix.

Also, when I am looking at the page in the page editor, in order to have it where it is (where the “Hobbies Outside” line is right next to the picture base…not what I want; just for demonstration), in the editor the “Industry Experience” line is right next to the picture base…so there’s some kind of funky offset between editing and publishing.

    Any ideas?
