My issue was fixed by my host. The problem was the php 8.0 update that was blocking php_uname

They reverted php to the previous version and suggested I change my hosting to a shared option they have.

Woocommerce twitter account states that they sent me a follow up with instructions for the next step of fixing this but I never received a single message other than the automated responses I received from follow up messages. Something’s gotta give. This is almost a week with this issue and ZERO help from support….

The issue started overnight a few days ago. My last successful transaction was at 9pm on Jan. 17th, the issue came to light at 9am the next morning when an order was attempted but didn’t get charged.

It comes into my WooCommerce as PENDING PAYMENT. I am assuming it’s something to do with the plugin communicating with square to charge the cards being used.

There was a plugin that updated during that time frame and I have since deactivated and removed the plugin but still no changes.

I appreciate ANY help I can get as I keep having orders being attempted that are not processing

I am running Store Front as a default layout. I disabled every plugin but WooCommerce and Square with no success. I just tried activating Twenty Twenty theme and just tried and got the same error. Deactivated and removed the square plugin and then reinstalled it all with no change. The error persists…..

Internal Server Error

If I go into WooCommerce settings and click on the Square menu option I get this error:

“There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.

Learn more about troubleshooting WordPress”

Then I get an email with the error info that is posted above about line 83 in the square php file listed having an error. I sent in a trouble ticket 3 days ago and still heard nothing back from WC support
