In reply to: [Mediaphase Lite] Social Icons: Vertical Line at EndWow! Thanks for catching that. I just edited widgets.css to add color:#333333 to the widget image captions and had renamed the original to widgets0.css as a backup. However, I had not yet uploaded the edited file.
I know the general advice to create a child theme, but when I did so, the theme did not perform correctly. It does some fancy tricks with the home page.

Thanks, Matt. Yes, this is the line that shows up:
* The Plugin “” needs an upgrade. There’s no indication which theme is involved. I only have two themes loaded, Nimva (the active one) and Twenty Fifteen. Since I only get this message on this website, I suspect the problem is with Nimva.
I have a good relationship with the theme developer, so I’ll let him know about the problem.

I hate it when a client is using a hosting company I know nothing about. This client is using qualityhostonline.com, and I can’t log on for support. The reasons are too ridiculous to spell out, but fortunately I have an email address for support. Hopefully, I’ll be able to eventually file a ticket about the missing modules.
I was unable to try the false to true test you suggested. When I made the change and visited the wp-admin URL, instead of the logon screen, I got this mess:

Whoops! I should have thought of WordPress. I don’t have any caching plugins installed.
I do have the Wordfence security plugin, which offers caching. I see I don’t have its caching turned on, however. This is a low-activity and low-traffic site, so I’m going to leave caching off.
I guess I’ll try to remember to watch the site around the end of the month and see if the situation repeats.

max_execution_time is not found on the Wordfence diagnostic page.
I found a php.ini in public_html with this:
max_execution_time = 30I ran phpinfo.php on the site, and as expected, got this:
max_execution_time 30 30Following the instructions in the thread you provided, I set the max time per scan to 24. The results from the following scan are the same as before:

I don’t think I have any caching… other than what Firefox does on its own. Here’s a screenshot of all my plug-ins.

Thanks, Joe. The URL is:
http://www.antiochbaptist-mtairyga.net/church-calendar-2/It’s currently September 5 and here’s what’s at Settings / General:
Timezone
UTC time is 2015-09-05 12:23:53 Local time is 2015-09-05 08:23:53There was a bit of strangeness. Although the calendar is showing correctly now, when I first loaded it, it showed September 2 as the current date, and the date’s color was not correct.

Aha! This is presumably my problem:
Did you check the source code as a logged in user? By default, WP-Piwik does not add the tracking code if the current user is an admin. To be sure, just log out before you check if the tracking code appears.
Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the explanation and the suggestion!

Thanks for telling me about GZIP. At least for now, I’m checking these items:
- Cache System
- Logged-in Users
- New Post
- Combine CSS
- Combine js
- Gzip
