I also just managed to reproduce the error. Here is the sequence of events.
1) I open a scheduled post and check that the settings are still set. They are. I then save click Update.
2) I go back to the posts page.
3) I re-open the post. The settings are still set. I click update again.
4) I go back to the posts page.
5) I re-open the post. The “Publish Post to Facebook” check box is not checked any more. The “Facebook Post Attribute line” is now also empty.
This does not always happen after two saves. Sometimes one, sometimes ten, but it means I always have to go back and check or risk not having the post published to Facebook.

Currently I have to go to posts page and reload post to see if the settings were saved properly. (Simply refreshing the posts page will always show the tick box ticked.)

The solution on your website doesn’t work for me, so I’ll see about sorting that out when I’ve had some more sleep.

The Random Post Link plugin still stops working. I traced it to an incompatibility with WP Super Cache. It works when WP Super Cache is on half-on mode, but breaks when in normal on/full on mode.
Edit: WP Super Cache recently changed the content of the .htaccess file. Might have something to do with that.
Okay, hmm. I just deactivated all my plugins, which caused Random Post Link to work. I then reactivated them all one by one, and Random Post Link carries on working.
Sorry for the trouble, I don’t know what was wrong, but it seems to have fixed itself.

When you generate the captcha code in the WP admin backend, they will look something like this.
The image:
[captchac captcha-502 size:s]The text field:
[captchar captcha-502]Make sure that both the numbers, 502 in this case, match.
