In reply to: [Flexible Posts Widget] Open Link in New Window / TabHi Geraldo,
There is not an option for this built into the plugin. However, you could easily accomplish this with a Custom HTML template.
Just create the custom template and add the
target="_blank"attribute to the link tag.Cheers!

In reply to: [Flexible Posts Widget] Works great!Hi Fox,
This would be possible by creating a custom image size for your theme that uses a hard-crop to the specific width and height you would like. Remember FPW only uses the pre-existing image sizes. It doesn’t rescale or resize images on it’s own.
Thanks for the review and for using the plugin!

In reply to: [Flexible Posts Widget] Taxonomy Tab doesn't showHi stadak,
The plugin is indeed compatible with 3.8. The only thing I can think of is that the widget admin does require JavaScript to work properly. Without JavaScript, you would indeed be unable to click between the different Get post filters. Do you have JavaScript enabled in your browser?
Sorry for the trouble.

In reply to: [Flexible Posts Widget] all post titles in dropdown menuHi Willem,
Yes, this would be possible using a custom HTML output template and a bit of HTML knowledge. However, it’s not really a feature of the plugin so this would be very much in the realm of a customization.
If you’re not comfortable making a custom HTML template yourself, I’d suggest hiring a local web developer to create it for you. It would take very little work, maybe an hour or two at most.

In reply to: [Flexible Posts Widget] Notice: Undefined variable: sticky in…Hi morktron,
Thanks for getting in touch. A couple questions:
- Do you always see this error?
- Where do you see this error? On the publish website? In the Admin? On every page or just one specific page?
- What version of the plugin are you using?
- Have you tried to resave the widget settings for your widgets?
I’ve seen this happen once or twice after the plugin is updated, but it shouldn’t happen persistently. Let me know. Thanks!
Since this post hasn’t had a response in 2 weeks, I’m going to mark it as resolved. Feel free to get back to me if you’d still like additional help. Cheers!

In reply to: [Flexible Posts Widget] Not picking random postHi MTWK,
Sorry for the trouble. Just for kicks, have you tried showing more than just 1 post and seeing if you get more than just the first or last post and that they are in a different order after a few page refreshes?
I have seen situations where the SQL random function is disabled by the hosting company, server settings, or by different caching plugins.

In reply to: [Flexible Posts Widget] German translationHi wutzelmutz,
You are correct. There is not currently a German translation. If you would be willing to do that, I would be happy to add it to the plugin.
If you’ve not done POT, PO & MO translations before, you’ll want to start here so you can understand how it works.
There is already a POT file included in FPW’s languages folder. That is the file that contain all the strings that need translation. With the POT file from the plugin, you’ll create a German PO & MO file using a program such as POEdit. Once you’ve created the German PO & MO files, you’ll need to post them somewhere that I can download them and add them to the plugin.
Thanks for offering to translate!

Hmm… That is strange indeed.
Is the site located online somewhere where you could provide me a username & password so I could take a look? If that’s a possibility, follow me on Twitter: http://twitter.com/dpellenwood and I’ll follow you back so you can message me the details.
Sorry for the continued troubles.
