No, lunabyte’s solution relies on installing a portal cms, called enigma, to handle logins for both.
Dmry’s answer is a wp plugin wich injects new wp users into smf, and logs them in there when thy login to wp. You have to hack all login stuff out of smf by hand.
I’ve been attempting to build something similar(using phorm) for a project I’m working on which combines wp, smf and phpList.
