So sorry for the late reply. I’ve been sick. Took a screen shot and was gonna get you all the details.
Then I just tested again.
The problem didn’t happen again. So musta been some change I made.
I’ll let you know if the problems occurs again.
I still need to resolve my problems with the .css though.

I don’t think you understand the problem.
I told you what I changed. The changes didn’t do anything to what seen on the website.
The problem is editing the gallery. Filling in the description and alt text. Those thumbnails have been cropped.
Since the trouble with the .css I’ve been making changes. But I reversed the changes.
I had changed the thumbnail size from 240 x 160 to 96 x 75, which I believed is how the legacy nggallery was originally configured.
If no one else is complaining it has to be a change I made.
When I saw the changed didn’t have any affect, I reversed.
I had no idea that would affect the editing the gallery, I was under the impression that it was how thumbnails would be displayed.
I’d like to be able to see the actual thumbnails when editing the gallery.

Ok I resolved by clearing nggallery’s cache. Hope this helps others.
The issue was caused by nggallery. No issues prior to the migration.
Still not working.
I have the borders back to the legacy days.
But I still having the original problem.
I wanted one border.
I got rid of one, but now the border has become whacky.
Just want a thin border around the picture, while maintaining a space in between, rows and columns.
OK I used my old .css file.
Seems to be working but now I have an additional border I can’t get rid of, I believe the legacy version also including a border that I removed way back when.
I dunno where the border is located, I remember just removing the albumset.gif I believe.
I don’t think the name is the name now, certainly in a different location.
Please let me know.

The old .css managed all the thumbnails together.
Currently impossible to go one by one to each gallery.
Currently 50215 images, 2261 galleries, and 99 albums.
What can I change or add to resolve the issue ?

Currently not using the old .css file. Made even more messes. Just upgraded from 1.9.0 to 2.1.62.

Unfortunately with all other plug-ins deactivated and using the default theme I wasn’t able to upload pictures.
Doesn’t seem 100 % compatible with WordPress 4.4.2.
OK, again, latest version of WordPress, and Photocrati.
So same results. The only links that work are Overview, Manage Galleries, Manage Tags.
Still seeing Request-URI Too Long.
The reset tool hasn’t made any improvements.
I’ll wait a few hours to see what else happens.
Thanx. Seems like W3 Total Cache could have been responsible for the blank page.
Deactivated W3 Total Cache and a few hours later the I was able to see information. But still couldn’t upload.
Tiny images that were just a few k in size didn’t upload.
I’ll try over the week on a less significant server. Didn’t know of the reset tool.
