In reply to: [Smart Variations Images & Swatches for WooCommerce] DeprecatedHey there,
just a late thank you for the reply!
Hi there,
thanks for your quick replies – we both were a bit too fast apparently. Fantastic to hear that there are no issues with HPOS compatibility from your side, one plugin less that I have to keep in mind before using it! Thanks for that.
Maybe you could include the declaration that it is compatible anyways.
Thank you & best regards
Dominik
Hi David,
HPOS is no plugin, but a feature being developed by WooCommerce to make WooCommerce stores more performant. Basically, the WooCommerce data is no longer stored in the wp_post and wp_postmeta tables but moved to their own respective tables. Please take a look at their documentation and overview to check if your plugin is compatible. They also included a HPOS compatability declaration, so that you can prevent WooCommerce from warning that your plugin is not compatible.
Thank you & best regards,
Hi again,
unfortunately that did not solve the problem. The creation of new galleries in new products is also possible, so I’m afraid it’s a problem connected to changing the attribute slugs and titles?
Thanks!
We’re using the paid version.
It seems that this error happens indeed due to a change in the slugs and attributes. Unfortunately, I had to change those.
I tested it with a new product and newly created galleries, this is working fine.
I removed the galleries from an existing product and created new ones, the new ones are generated in the backend, but as soon as I update the product, the galleries are gone. This happens to all existing products. Do you have any idea on how to address that issue?
It looks like it is the SVi gallery, as it has the following classes: “woosvi_strap svi-horizontal svi-hello-elementor”, followed by “sviproslider” and “swiper svi-gallery-top swiper-initialized swiper-horizontal swiper-pointer-events swiper-autoheight”.
Also some functions (e.g. the “jumping back to the first image”) that are enabled in SVI are working. That’s why I thought that it is maybe a settings problem?
Maybe that already helps you, otherwise I’d need to complete the registration on your page and create a support account for you.
Hi,
thanks for your quick reply.
Maybe I wasn’t specific enough: The exemplary product has two different attributes (e.g. clasp and size). There are three different versions of clasps (e.g. silver, blue and bronze). There are three SVI galleries corresponding to the clasp attributes. So far, so good. This is what we’ve been working with for years.
However, when I enable the “Slider” option in SVI, the functionality completely stops working in the frontend. Instead of having three galleries corresponding to the clasp attributes, I have one big gallery which I can slide through. I was wondering if this is the intended behavior, as it would make the rest of the plugin basically useless?
Hi David,
looks like that solved the issue, thank you for the fast reply.
It did not remove the array error though, I guess it’s not connected to your plugin.
Have a great day!
