    Hey,
    thanks for using the plugin.

This plugin just fetches your Discogs collection into your WordPress installation: it just gets you the data, it’s up to you then to display it on your site.
You can look for a plugin to display custom posts.

    So, just to be sure:
this is the image sync progress:
    image sync screenshot
do you confirm you went through this step?
Also, can you see the message “Authentication successful”?

If the answer to those question is yes, then you can try disabling all your plugins except for DiscPress.
If you have another WordPress website you can use, you can test DiscPress on a different environment to see if it goes in a different way.

    Hi,

do you get any error message when you launch the image sync?
Can you succesfully upload images manually?

    Hi,

    sorry for the late reply.
Have you managed to fix your issue?
    If not:
    – have you successfully synced your images (it’s a separate step after syncing the records)?
    – if you successfully synced them, can you see them under Media?
    – if you see them, do you also see them in the backend, in each of your records edit screen, attached as thumbnails?
    – are you using a plugin to display your records inside your collection page? Which is it?

Ok so maybe is some endpoint of the Discogs API that is down, please re-check tomorrow and tell me if the problem persists

    Hi there,
just tested 1.2.1 on a fresh WP install, everything works fine. Double check with your hosting provider about wp_remote_get() being able to work properly.
In other words you have to check that the WordPress install on your hosting is able to use the HTTP GET method.

    Hey Edd,
    thanks for using the plugin.

As other users mentioned there isn’t a shortcode to display data on the frontend yet.
We wanna do it properly so during the waiting you can use a plugin that can help to display custom post, like :

    https://it.wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-display/
    or
    https://it.wordpress.org/plugins/custom-fields-display/

    Hi,

    to answer your questions :

    – Is there a shortcode to display the collection on one page?

Not at the moment, we are working on it in a future version, to achieve it now there are a lot of plugins for displaying Custom Post Types

    – All meta data is in custom fields which don’t display on the release page.
Here also you can use a plugin to display custom fields, we plan to add custom fields in the shortcode

    – Is it possible to import full size (or at least medium) images?

Downloading larger images through the API could overload both the Discogs server and your WP server. Also the code to fetch different image sizes is way more difficult cause we have to loop not only the user collection but also every single release to get the different image sizes.

We want to wait, if more users start to use the plugin we can consider to add this kind of features

Another thing that came in my mind is to check with your hosting provider about wp_remote_get() being able to work properly.

    Hey there,
could you please provide more informations? the error message you describe seems to be a Discogs Auth problem not a message error from the plugin.

Double check that your consumer key and secret from the discogs app are correct. Also what version of WordPressa you are using could be useful
