First of all, make sure you have added a shortcode [mphb_search_results] (or Search Results block) to the Search Results page. Also, check if this search results page is selected at Accommodation > Settings.
As for adjusting the layout so you may check the following articles:

Last Modified Date
Menu OrderYou may set the Order value for each Event post and select the Menu Order option within the Posts Carousel block. I’ve also added your request to our list of features so our developers will review it and see if it is possible to let set a custom meta key to order the posts of any custom post type.
