Yes, plugin is updated to 1.16.61. Nothing changed, backups still don’t start, log is exactly the same as in the original post.
Updraft Debug mode is also on and no errors show up.
All backups just stay frozen exactly like the original post.

added line to wp-config.php, it didn’t solve the issue.
I still can backup everything except the Plugins. Including the plugins in the backup or backing it up by itself results in Backup Error/Fail.

My plugins folder is 185MB
My Uploads folder is 2GB
But I can backup my Uploads folder without any problems, even with 400mb split size. But I can’t back up my Plugins folder, even if I lower the split size to 25MB. This is clearly not a “resources” issue and apparently you can’t pinpoint what is causing it by just looking at the log files. What more info can I provide you to try to fix this issue?Forum: Plugins

Updraft should stop trying to cover it up with this standard answer about the split size and start working on the issue.
To OP: if you do a manual backup of everything except the “plugins”, it will probably finish without problems.Still didn’t work, neither 100mb nor 25mb split size.
As I said, backups are failing ONLY on the “plugins” folder, if I do a backup without the “plugins” it completes no problem, even with 400mb split size. So it’s not a file size issue.
Waiting for you guys to solve this current problem since I can see by the amount of complaints in this forum it’s not just me.What would that solve? My uploads folder is at least 10x bigger than the plugins folder and it backups without problems in 400Mb files. 25Mb sounds rather small.

I’m not looking into custom development.
I’m asking what’s the plugin recommended substitute to the old wpforms()->form->update() since it no longer works to update the backend settings page because the function cannot be used anymore by form submissions from regular visitors after a “recent” update. And your Documentation pages says nothing about it.This is not a good solution!
If you add the line break character proposed above it works the first time, but the next time you EDIT the form, WPForms doesn’t load the line break character in the Settings “Default Value” field so you either have to remember to reenter it EVERYTIME you edit the form or you gonna lose line breaks when you Save the next time.
Can we have a proper solution?
