the navigation in the full-picture-view is realy easy. I simply don’t use the coming-with picture-viewer of the NGG. In the NGG-Control-Panel you have to go to options->effect and chose “own”. I use a lightbox-effect so i have to put rel="lightbox[%GALLERY_NAME%]" in the codebox and all will work fantastic.
Don’t forget to call the javascript lightbox thing in your header of your page or install the plugin 😉

it’s a little late but i got this post on the front site of google, when i searched to solve this problem. So here’s the solution:
The problem is known. There is a bug with Firefox and Opera (maybe Safari, but i didn’t test it). So your links wouldn’t work.
If you download the latest version 3 of sifr, it will fix the error and your links will work fine 🙂
