An update: for now I’ve deactivated the plugin, as even after the latest update name and thumbnails were not displaying on FB. With the plugin deactivated it’s ok.
Hi, thanks.
I’ve forgotten to mention: with the previous version we were not having any problem, for a long time (in the past we had problems on FB occasionally).
Postcron doesn’t change the urls or anything on the site, as it’s an external site grabbing data from sites (not a plugin or anything we’ve installed). I’ve only mentioned that because Postcron is being able to grab the infos and thumbnails; FB is not: if I paste some link on Postcron website, the thumbnail and title is displaying correctly. You may notice on our FB fan page that we’ve been posting through Postcron or FB photos, to avoid the “link only” issue.
Hopefully this helps.

In reply to: Removing a website from footer.phpI must tell that I was also surprised by the credit at the bottom of my website. There was no credit before, it appeared with the update with no clear warning on this.
This page says it clearly: http://www.littlebizzy.com/plugins/wp-protect/ (“Download FREE version with Little Bizzy footer credit”)
This page doesn’t: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-protect/ (“Brought to you by the folks at Little Bizzy free of charge! Cheers!”)
Also: adding a credit “little bizzy website management services” is a bit too much for providing a plugin. These websites are not “managed” by that company.
Although I agree with the basic argument that the developer has the right to add this or that for a free plugin, I think that this coming as a surprise, and the difference between the message on the developer website and on the WordPress plugin page, are not examples of the best “commercial” practices.
An update: issue solved with WP 3.3.1.
Adding to my initial comment:
If I copy the home page to another file (for example, home-2), it’s normal on IE. So only the home page is showing that problem with IE; all other pages, including a page identical in its code to the home page are working fine.
Thanks…

In reply to: [Plugin: Simple Facebook Connect] API Error Code: 102Hi Otto, thanks.
Yes, I’ve updated to v. 1.1, and was getting the error after clicking on “Publish on Facebook Fan Page” in the “Edit Post” page. I tried many times yesterday and had the error, and eventually shared the link directly on our Facebook fan page.
But today I’m not receiving the error anymore.
@otto: please correct if I’ve misunderstood your latest reply to jpcutler85, who was referring to Mingle Forum: are you’re saying that Mingle Forum is broken and that there will be no workaround to make them compatible? I’m kind of confused, as earlier in this post there seemed to be a kind of collaboration with Mingle Forum’s cartpauj. Thanks.
Here too we use Rackspace as CDN, and W3TC in a Litespeed installation. We’re using disk cache (we’ve disabled disk enhanced because of the “no cache issue” discussed in other threads, and had also to disable eAccelerator, which resulted in a blank screen when the CDN feature was enabled) and have a grayed out host minified files with CDN.
Any help would be welcome!
Hi, thanks! It worked… three times! 🙂 Deleting these lines, I had 3 forums on the page…
Here the fact is that we depend on Facebook for our site, and SFC is the only plugin I’ve tested that is being able to publish on FB with thumbnails. Without SFC or with other plugins, FB is not showing thumbnails.
But this incompatibility between SFC and Mingle Forum is preventing us from using it.
Hi,
any workaround for this? I’m still unable to have both Mingle Forum and SFC on our site. I’ve tried the function above, and it didn’t help.
Thanks!

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] W3 Total Cache has crashed my site totallyHi,
It may be helpful to be aware that W3TC adds many directories and also rules to .htaccess.
This post may be helpful, as it lists the directories created by W3TC: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-w3-total-cache-how-to-uninstall-with-no-admin-panel
Also, the procedure at the end of this page may be helpful:
http://jaredheinrichs.com/how-to-troubleshoot-wordpress-white-screen-of-death.html(In this case, keeping W3TC disabled at steps 8 and/or 12.)

In reply to: [Plugin: W3 Total Cache] Blank page when using CDN featuresIn fact, our host has figured out there was an issue with eAccelerator.
Adding the below to .htaccess has allowed the use of CDN/Rackspace with W3TC without getting the blank screen:
php_flag eaccelerator.enable 0 php_flag eaccelerator.optimizer 0Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] [Plugin: W3 Total Cache] Disk (enhanced) option disabledAny news about the next release with Litespeed support? I’ve been having problems using W3TC with Litespeed for CDN/Rackspace. As it’s working perfectly with Apache, I think it has to do with Litespeed…

In reply to: Theme related image not showing only in FirefoxHi, thanks for replying.
No, I’m not. After the issue, I’ve deselected the option “Host Theme Files”, and haven’t made more attempts. On that occasion, that behavior was clear.
I have no idea of the reasons… A few days ago we’ve started using a true CDN, and I’ve edited our style.css file so that the header message is hosted also on our CDN (because the image was manually defined in the style file, it was in one server, and the rest was in another one). I’ve also checked again the option for hosting the theme files. And it’s working.
Of course this was done with a try and error approach.
Right now we only aren’t able to use the minify feature in W3TC, as it corrupts the design, and makes the menu unusable. We’re using WP-Minify, which for some reason does work (we’ve only had to introduce an exception for the menu). If you can suggest any workaround, it’ll be great. We’d like to have the minified files in the CDN, but this is not possible (as far as I know) using WP-Minify.
Thanks again!

In reply to: WPFolio Issue – thin line above footerThanks, Laura. You’ve already replied other of my questions (I’m the one who’s afraid of child themes…)
As I’ve mentioned, I do this but I’m not a professional, so I have some limitations, and in this case I can’t find what needs to be changed.
Our site has an online magazine, and we used to change the photo on the home page, the photo on the summary page and the background color at each update. However, I haven’t changed the background color anymore, because of the lines and everything that matches the background, as in my opinion this doesn’t work so well for some colors.
If we change the color of the menu, we’ll have to change also the color of the line above the footer so that they match.
It’ll be great if you’re able to tell me how to do it!
