So I have an update in the event it might help others. I reset my wordpress DB and nuked all the posts. I was able to re-run the import and deselected “Covert Formatting”. It ran without issue, but again, some posts were missing the image.

The situation, if an image has a % in its name, then the image will not show up in the post, even though I can verify that the post is pointing to the right image, and the image was downloaded properly.

The fix? I am opening each post that has a missing image, and then using cuteFTP, I go to the content\upload folder and rename said image file (ie remove %, replace with _). I cut that new name into the post and save, and all is well.

As for the post images liking back to blogger, I am just using the post editor to remove the hyperlink since I use large images in my posts.

Hope that helps 🙂 If there is a better fix, I am all ears, as I have some 1400 posts to go through 🙁

…ok tried again after deleting all posts, and it goes through the motions, says it’s done without importing anything 🙁

I’m trying to get the new version pf the plugin working to import my blog (xml is only 13MB). I get the following error “Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 72 bytes) in /home”

If I try the php.ini trick, the pluggin suddenly reduces the max dowbload size of the xml from 64MB to 2MB (and then says the xml is empty).

Adding php_value memory_limit 128M to the .htaccess stops my entire website from loading. Help 🙂
