Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: running into brick wall after brick wall!!!Sorry to be so brutally sincere but you’re either really, really lost and have no idea how websites work or this is posted to just waste someone’s precious time, in this case mine.
1) How do you expect Adsense to display on your blog if you haven’t actually uploaded to the server the file you modified with the adsense code?
2) How do you expect wordpress to perform well if you deleted the themes?
You’re lucky nobody hacked your site so far because I’m sure if you did delete your themes you did other stupid things also.3)Forget Akismet and don’t worry about the API for the moment.Learn about the basics first and then worry about API keys.
There are so many resources available on the web about wordpress and you could learn so many things only if you’d stop expecting people to spoon-feed you all the info.
You should be ashamed of yourself for saying this “if it meant to be on my hard drive – I have no such folder.”
This basically means you have no idea of how a website and server work.
Have you at least done some basic Google research before posting here? Have you read the Docs section here about how to install and configure wordpress?
It’s safe to say that no one will actually contact YOU on YM to save YOUR problem.
Be patient, do some more forum digging, try reinstalling again, correctly this time and it will work.

In reply to: Warning: Cannot modify header informationlog into ftp, make a backup of your contact form, temporarily move it into another folder, preferably outside of your wp folders, clear your browser cache and you should be able to login.
basically get rid of the contact form plugin.it’s what’s causing the problems as far as i can tell from the error messages.
report back if it’s not working for you.
you most likely have improper folder permissions on your wp install.
i’ve seen this many times before on joomla for example.same thing happens, when folder permissions are not properly set, the editor no longer displays.

In reply to: problems with post-notification pluginSomething like this happened to me once before.
Have you tried this live, on a real server?Wamp probably allocates a certain maximum memory size available to php and you most likely ran out of free memory.
I don’t know exactly how wamp works, never used it before, but I would clean up all my temp files If I were you, restarted the computer and tried again.
Try not to run a lot of memory intensive software while you run wamp, like firefox, photoshop etc.
Report back if you’re still getting the problem.
