Thanks for that. The mystery deepens. The client has done what you recommend and it’s still the PowerPress logo showing. He has also had a couple of colleagues here in Australia test on their iPhones, with the same result.

In reply to: Don’t want Posts on the HomepageI have two separate WP sites, on different servers. Each has been upgraded to 2.1.2 as is showing at the bottom of the page. One has the option for making the front page static. The other has no sign of it. I have checked and re-checked. Both were uprgraded via Fantastico. Any suggestions?

In reply to: Permalinks and legacy postsseem to have solved the problem – I think I was not changing the permissions on .htaccess properly.
One lingering irritant is that a post that somehow I forgot to give a name to and which then got a number (30) now has the number locked in as post slug, even though I’ve now provided a name. Not a big deal but if there is a simple fix that would be appreciated.

In reply to: database error: create command deniedISP suggested as I had the same name for username and database name that this might be ‘confusing the system’ (my paraphrase) so suggested I vary one. Set a new username and everything went ahead ok.
