I’ve finally got my website back online by manually updating. When I try to access my dashboard I get the following
Database Update Required
WordPress has been updated! Before we send you on your way, we have to update your database to the newest version.
The database update process may take a little while, so please be patient.
Is this expected? Just worried I don’t wan’t to click update then get the same problem.

I tried resetting the plugins folder and changing the theme but still the same.
How do I flush the caches please? Is manually updating a pretty easy task?
