Thank you very much @nimmot! Your solution works on all products which have thumnnails images (gallery images) too, while the problem persists on products with just the featured image set.
Anyway, this is a huge step forward thank you!Exact same problem here… looks like some jQuery overwrites woocommerce’s.
I am using Parabola Theme and I know you cannot check all themes for compatibility but I link you a product page for you to check if you’re feeling like….Thanks in advance!

I confirm same issue which JONvdHeyden has on the Parabola WP Theme: I get Cropped and yet not resized thumbnails on the “All Products” section but as I tried changing my website theme From Parabola to Twenty Eleven, images were displaying fine on the default WordPress theme. So I guess (if you ever feel like to solve this issue) Meave, you could begin from the Parabola theme thing…
