FINALLY I figured it out! The plugin “WordPress HTTPS (SSL) was the causing the problem with blog link error 404 and category and sub categories of blog and woo commerce product categories with redirect loop error.
So the problem was in the setting for wordpress https plugin. to resolve the issue go to the plugin settings, under General Settings>UNCHECK Force SSL Exclusively. This was causing all the problems.
Finally by unchecking first there is no more error 404 and redirect loops. And the connection speed of navigation has superbly improved! the site has become very fast comparatively.
