Thanks for your reply. I have contacted Dreamhost as they keep activating the temporary url for some reason. They’ve promised this time it would be fixed. This ticket can be marked as closed.

The account was never meant to be connected to a temporary URL, however, for some reason Dreamhost kept switching back and forth between the domain name and a temporary location they had setup. You can see the temporary location in the image included in the initial post.
The error occurs in the WP reader section where subscribers are managed. It happens when I remove and add myself as a subscriber. The strange thing is that people can subscribe normally by pressing the blue button on the website.
I previously contacted Dreamhost about seeing the temporary url in the jetpack log. They responded that they had fully disabled the temporary URL in response, and since that time it indeed was no longer visible in the jetpack log, so I thought the issue had been solved.
Is it true that the username and password of the self-hosted blog need to be exactly the same as the WP user/pass? I gave my credentials to Dreamhost before the migration, but even so they used a different username for the setup.
