I added the suggested code to the end of my wp-config file
/** EXAMPLE – proxy settings */
define(‘WP_PROXY_HOST’, ‘proxy.url.com’);
define(‘WP_PROXY_PORT’, ‘1234’);
define(‘WP_PROXY_USERNAME’, ”);
define(‘WP_PROXY_PASSWORD’, ”);
define(‘WP_PROXY_BYPASS_HOSTS’, ‘localhost’);but it didn’t appear to help, it didn’t change anything as far as i could see.
I’d really appreciated it if someone would help me.
Hello,
Please would someone help.
I’ve manually uploaded another plugin and it works fine.
But.. i want to install woocommerce now, and i’d prefer it if i don’t have something not working, in case further down the line it becomes a problem and i lose work.
I have neither a lot of spare time nor money and find myself unable to afford professional help.
If i can’t get help with this i will have to look at other editors, which is a shame as wordpress was recommended by a friend.I’ve read the other posts that i could find on this error message but no luck yet.
I’m using the latest google chrome and version 4.5.3 of WP.
This is the address of the site
http://debbiesfarm.eu.pn/wp-admin/plugin-install.php
I’ve gone into google settings and unchecked the box “Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy settings” and restarted the computer, still no good.
I noticed in another post the advice to alter the wp-config file but i’m not sure what to put in and take out.
Please help!
