In reply to: Assigning posts and and categories to certain pagesThanks for your responses, I’m now going to search codex to try and find the info. Dragonsjaw when say ‘if these are WP Pages – you cannot assign category or tag to to them’. Is there an alternative to being WP – Pages? is there any way you can assign categories to a page?

Thanks for your reply. What I’m trying to accomplish is a situation whereby I can chose what page my posts go on for example I want one page to contain posts about up and coming events and one page to show posts about previous events. Thats , it seems strange to me that I an only assign one page that all my posts go on to.

where do you add that code to?Thanks a lot, problem solved by copying the code from the link and creating a .htaccess file and uploading it to backup-db.
