I’m having this exact same problem at the moment. No users are loaded, so you can’t pick a user/person who the website represents.
I’m having a similar issue at the moment.
I’m currently unable to set a new product image. When I click on “Set product image” ,or “Remove product image” for products that have an existing image, I get taken to the top of the product editing page instead of having a window open up allowing me to upload a new image.

That’s no problem about the slow reply.
You were correct in that the YITH Magnifier Zoom plugin I was using was conflicting with your SVI plugin.
I’ve disabled the YITH plugin and SVI is working as it should now.
