I ended up disabling just about all my plugins before finding that my problem was auto_links.php … (at first I thought it was the AdSense plugin but that turned out to be a red herring.)

I am very interested in doing the same thing – that is, allowing searches by writer – and I found this thread essentially by accident … how did you get it to work with version 2.0?

Hmmmm…. OK…. so that’s a bunch of code-writing I take it… nothing so simple as, say, topic/1223?user=2 ?
Do you have any idea who I could get to write up a bit of code to actually do this? I don’t find php and MySQL to be easy – I’m an editor, not a coder!
