If you have problem with that, try to upload images at the same size as the gallery is or try to have images that have ratio of 1.5or try t disable another plugins, maybe there is a conflict.

you can create arrows and replace them with the default one.Firefox have problem with flash, just check if you flash is installed and the last version is present.
