In reply to: After Login with User Name and PSW 404 errorAfter taking a look around the site and reading this page – and mind you this is pure 100% guesswork on my part – you could try disabling the fluency-admin plugin using an ftp client, clear your browser cache and then go back and see if the symptom changes with the WordPress login page in place. Pure guesswork mind you.
Thanks, for the tip, but no luck. Fluency was deleted from plugin directory

In reply to: After Login with User Name and PSW 404 errorI do not understand your DB URL comment.
You’ll have to access your WordPress database via phpMyAdmin (most hosting providers offer this in their control panel) and make sure that the siteurl and home values are set to http://www.rebaxter.net
THIS IS DONE NO PROBLEM FOUNDForum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: After Login with User Name and PSW 404 errorOne other observation. I have to delete the cookies from the browser to get the user id password screen. Once I do that the normal logon screen appears and I can enter user name and password then i get the 404 error. If I just enter http://www.rebaxter.net/wp-admin I get the 404 error without it even asking for name and password. I supposed this could be because it is saving both user name and password…

In reply to: After Login with User Name and PSW 404 errorThis is a business web site, to disable all the plugins will stop the site from working. I have re-loaded the wp-config.php from a backup.
I do not understand your DB URL comment.I need to figure this out with minimal disruption instead of taking the site down.
Are there any troubleshooting techniques to try to determine what could have caused this change?
Thanks a million !Dan

In reply to: After Login with User Name and PSW 404 errorYes the site works fine. http://www.rebaxter.net
I need to figure out a way to troubleshoot this. The site has been up and working for sometime. This problem just appeared out of nowhere. I have not added any new plugins.
Help in troubleshooting where the problem might lie would be VERY much appreciated.

In reply to: After Login with User Name and PSW 404 errorUsing WP 3.0.1
I am an experienced Designer. Of course I know how to create a menu.
I believe the problem is that a javascript conflict exists between the theme and the NextGEN Gallery. The automation or submenus that drop down when hovering do not work with the NextGEN Gallery active. Disable this plugin and all is well.
The Theme author is unable to resolve the problem and still retain functionality in other portions of his theme.
Thank you very much !
Dan sOK I give up… put it in the upload directory and it works.
No idea why it didn’t like being in a subdirectory under uploads.
Danchanged permissions on the subdirectory where i put the files to 777, but still no luck…. this is strange
Thanks Paul, of course I did that. There are 8 files in the directory including 3 jpgs 1 html 1 pdf 1 swf 1xml and 1 .js file.
I can not imagine why this is not working. I have tried this on two different WP Sites of mine. works fine until I tell it to use flash then the box pops up saying
The path to imagerotator.swf is not defined, the slideshow will not work.
If you would like to use the JW Image Rotatator, please download the player here and upload it to your Upload folder (Default is wp-content/uploads).I don’t want to put it in the uploads directory since I have lots of other uploads there, maybe it is a persmission thing in the subdirectory… I will investigate…
I downloaded the entire zip file and put it in a directory called imgerotator in the uploads directory
So based on the comment earlier…
wp-content/uploads/imagerotator/imagerotator.swf
Should work but i just tried it and it does not work.
Very odd…
