In reply to: [Track The Click] Tracking Clicks which refer to my own domainHi @chrissard. It looks like you’re having a different issue. I see the errors on your site’s console when looking through it, and it seems that your REST API at https://vielzutun.ch/wordpress/wp-json is missing! I’ve done some Googling and some people have said that saving your permalink choice can sort this out. So from your admin page, please try going to Settings -> Permalinks, and then without changing anything, press Save Changes at the bottom of the page.

Alternatively, if you’d be willing to temporarily create an admin user that I could log in as and take a look, that’d be great – email daniel@trackthe.click if that’s something you’d be happy to do. Same offer to you, @chrissard.

In reply to: [Track The Click] Tracking Audio Player Block clicksTrack The Click is only able to record clicks made on links on your site – if a link is sent to someone it will not show in the stats. Looking at your site, clicks on the “play” button on your audio files also won’t be recorded as they’re not links.
I think you’ll need a more traditional web statistics tool that will look at and analyse your server’s log files.
I’ve got it but I’m afraid it doesn’t offer any help with working out what’s going on with your clicks not showing. I clicked on an advert link on your site and can see your site confirming the click has been tracked so that data is definitely being captured and it looks like this is a display issue. With that click that should be showing in the graph confirmed from my side, could you have another look and just make sure that the graph is still showing as flat 0?
It’ll be the log file generated by your web server (usually apache or nginx). That might be the error_log file you refer to – if you’d like to you can email it to daniel@trackthe.click as above and I’ll see if it gives any clues about the problem.
Thanks for the screenshots. Do you have access to your web server’s error logs? Are you seeing any errors show there when you access the clicks page?

Thanks for trying out Track The Click.
That release was a while ago – the bug that was happening then has been fixed. Are you running the latest 0.3.2 version? If you’re still seeing something, please confirm that you’re seeing clicks in the dashboard’s quick stats but not through the clicks page of the plugin?
If you only want to see outbound links, you should make sure your site’s URL is listed in the Exclude URLs list under the plugin’s Settings -> Other tab.

This bug has been fixed and will be included in the next release.
The fact clicks are showing in the dashboard widget is great – it means the clicks are being tracked, so the “frontend” of the plugin is working fine.
I can’t see your dashboard and Track The Click’s Clicks page, which makes debugging that for you a bit tricky. Are you able to share what the JavaScript error in the console is? Perhaps even what the 500 error is from your server’s logs? If there’s any information you’d prefer to share privately, you can email me on daniel@trackthe.click
