It isn’t caching. The problem persists.
The redirect is happening prior to login. When a user is prompted to rest their password, they are sent an activation link. This link is to the main domain, not their subdomain / client domain.
They then enter the new password and go to login but they’re already on the main domain so are prompted to login there – but it’s the wrong domain and they have no access.
So, the problem happens before the redirect to login
Any ideas?
Yes, it was 404s. The home page had about 8 x 404s – inc 4 to theme files eg jquery.
Thanks for your help
I wonder if BWPS can be fine-tuned, so it only triggers on 404s to certain types of file?
Disabling Better WP Security brings the site back…
I’ve disabled Login Security Solution and the problem is still occurring, so perhaps it isn’t a conflict after all.
Something in Better WP Security doesn’t like our multi site (or vice versa).
Could this be to do with the APC caching we have installed?
Also, I have ‘Enable strong password enforcement’ deselected as recommended by Login Security Solution
I think this may have been a caching issue. We’ve disabled W3 Total Cache and the problem appears to have been resolved. We also have PAC byte code caching

In reply to: [Login Security Solution] Conflict with 'Better WP security' pluginThanks, we made this change. However then our multi site became unreachable via our own network, although ok outside this. I don’t know if it was related to this change, but we’ve had to deactivate Better WP Security again.

In reply to: [Job Manager] [Plugin: Job Manager] Uploaded CV SecurityThe Zartis job plugin looks interesting: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/zartis-job-plugin/ although their site is thin on info, it does claim to have CV upload.
A more heavyweight (and paid) option is Jobroller which is a full job board inc CV upload and a searchable CV index: http://www.appthemes.com/themes/jobroller/
I have no idea how secure either option is.
