Thanks. It’s difficult to know where to direct the inquiry sometimes. In this case there is the WordPress core, the plugin and the theme in play. Are there any general guidelines on how to best direct the inquiry.

Just to follow up – I think the answer is yes but can I assume that this whole block paradigm applies equally to pages as it does to posts?

Update – this problem occurs when the “Enable when web host requires “Mail From” strictly tied to site.” box field on the “Basic Settings” tab is checked. In this case the return email address is generated using the contents of the “Return-path address” field on the “Basic Settings” tab rather than the contents of the “Email” field on the “Fields” tab.

The only way to fix this problem is to uncheck the “Enable when web host requires “Mail From” strictly tied to site.” box field on the “Basic Settings” tab. The bug is easily reproducible.

OK but if the post was not offensive then it should not have been removed because by removing you are artificially diminishing the level of objection to what the core people did. People should be able to formulate multiple posts or replies of there own about the like issues.

Thanks for the info but that is not a good enough reason to remove it. It has been there for a long time and I don’t want to lard up the site with another plugin. As far as objecting to proposals, most people probably don’t have the bandwidth to track that sort of thing in anticipation of having relied upon functionality arbitrarily removed as we have come to expect from the likes of Microsoft, Google, Apple etc. There is too far much minutia in the world to monitor everything that people are going to pull.
