you bet, beer is love, beer is life!
I did already try the “text align” thingie but it didn’t work at all: I put it both on the site title and in the tagline (so that’s two items, I assume?) but the overall output didn’t flinch. So I tried text align left, just to test if it was at least influencing that area of text but nope, didn’t move at all.
Already cleared cache and CDN, just in case those reading are wondering 🙂basically now the only thing that’s left (for me) is to be able to center the text in the title frame.
I tried to add the ‘text-align: center’ parameter but it didn’t work (it would’ve been too easy 🙁 ) so I suppose it’s a bit more complicated… how do I do that?@stilman-davis man you deserve a beer! thanks SO MUCH 🙂
sure but please remove the link after you examine it 🙂
the problem with the site title being uneditable is that it messes up badly on mobile. It cannot be converted to lowercase, it cannot be centered, it gets on two rows…
Since I am totally in love with TwentySeventeen I really hope that the future releases will include this level of editing 🙂

In reply to: [Twenty Seventeen] How to modify home page’s title text?on a second thought, I just tried to activate the child theme again (I hadn’t tried yet after the update) and now it works. I suppose the problem was then not entirely on my side.
So, now that the child theme works, is the procedure different?

In reply to: [Twenty Seventeen] How to modify home page’s title text?hi, thanks for your reply 🙂
I tried using a child theme, but for some reason the end results is different than using the main theme; I probably did something wrong -you may guess I am not a programmer- so I’m sticking with the main theme.I will take a look into the page you mentioned, but I am unfamiliar with both “inline style” or “new class” 🙁

In reply to: [Twenty Seventeen] Child Themeeheh that was my first attempt, but I must’ve done something wrong ’cause it only partially worked. In the future things will probably become easier, meanwhile I’ll just stick with the ol’ good way 🙂

In reply to: [Twenty Seventeen] Child Theme@anevins thanks for the really helpful tip! it works like magic, except for the fact that “Theme Options” doesn’t appear 🙁

In reply to: [Twenty Seventeen] How can I enable the Parallax feature?hi @bharatk, yes, I am looking exactly for that effect 🙂
it was there when I first installed the theme, but after adding my own featured images and doing all the tweaks required to run my site, it went *poof* 🙁Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Twenty Seventeen] How can I enable the Parallax feature?@bencm that was the first thing I did 🙂 unfortunately the effect animation disappeared.

In reply to: [Twenty Seventeen] How can I enable the Parallax feature?@bharatk yup, I know that 🙂 what I meant is that the parallax animation is no more present. During the first hours, after selecting some featured images, it was indeed there… after a while it disappeared without any apparent reason.
The site is still beautiful, but the animation was a valuable “plus”…Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Twenty Seventeen] How can I enable the Parallax feature?well, I experienced this same exact issue. The parallax effect mysteriously disappeared and there is no apparent way to get it back…
I assume there will be a fix in the next months for all the minor issues that afflict this beautiful theme, but until then I suppose we have to wait…Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Twenty Seventeen] Blog page won’t show summary onlyI had a similar issue and solved by simply clicking on “Insert Read More Tag” for each and every post in the editor. You can also use the “Shift + Alt + T” keyboard shortcut to get the same result, providing you are in the editor.

In reply to: [Twenty Seventeen] Suggestion: Leave Theme Options visibleI totally agree. Was puzzled when I first encountered this weird behavior, and it is very frustrating to go back and forth to just access an option.
This is the only real downside in a otherwise excellent theme.
