In reply to: Shouldn't comment notification emails be sent to the blog author? Thanks. That did it.

In reply to: wp-table-reloadedAh, you’re right. Not having much experience here I assumed “…open a new topic there (with the tag ‘wp-table-reloaded’) just meant to type “wp-table-reloaded” in the subject field. I didn’t realize there was a separate “tag” option. Thanks for the reply which caused me to take a closer look.

In reply to: wp-table-reloadedIs anyone out there a table master? Suggestions?

In reply to: This graphic is distorting my table. Any idea why?Yes, thanks, I did try the nested table idea with no change in the results.
I’ve now tried the “wp-table-reloaded” plug-in and have set up a test page.

Viewing in IE9 or IE8 it’s particularly bad.
Any table experts out there no why I can’t get control using Twenty Ten (child theme)? Thanks.

In reply to: This graphic is distorting my table. Any idea why?Well, it did work when viewing with Google CHROME but I got to work today and took a look with IE9 and it’s not displaying correctly. Here’s the updated page:

Here’s what it’s supposed to look like:

If anyone has an idea how to get WP to display this accurately, please feel free to chime in. I don’t even necessarily have to use a table, but it seems to make sense to do so. Any help appreciated.

In reply to: This graphic is distorting my table. Any idea why?Oh my gosh, you’re right! Now the big question. WHY? There are only four rows in the table? What made you try that solution and why does it work? Thanks a lot for the help.

In reply to: What's the best way to control tables?Yeah, that looks pretty much like what I’ve got so I’m guessing it’s the CSS too. Hey, I really appreciate your help, man. Thanks. My next question, of course, is, can I put table settings in my child theme style.css file and have control over the table that way?

In reply to: What's the best way to control tables?Wow, that’s pretty good. So how’d you do it?

In reply to: What's the best way to control tables?By the way, it LOOKS perfect when I’m in the EDIT mode and have the VISUAL tab clicked. It’s only when I update and VIEW PAGE that it looks strange.
Also, the problem goes away when I delete the graphic, then returns when I put the graphic back in so it’s apparently related to that.

In reply to: What's the best way to control tables?Yes, it’s three columns and four rows. In the third column all four rows are merged so the graphic can fit to the right of all the text in the four rows.
I tried your idea and removed all and “width” tags and deleted all <div>s. No change.
As an experiment I added two more duplicate rows at the bottom of the table.

As you can see, that large gap is still there. Ideas? Thanks for the feedback.

In reply to: How do you get an RSS feed to refresh? It turns out the message board is broadcasting an ATOM feed, not RSS. The WordPress RSS widget is, however, picking it up fine. But it’s not updating. As new posts are made to the message board, my WP widget remains showing the original posts. Is this a WP setting or an ATOM setting at my phpBB message board? Any insight appreciated. Thanks.

In reply to: Can I change the size of the TwentyTen Header? Thanks. But I have a question as I learn my way around WP. I have a child them set up. Do I COPY the functions.php file from the Twenty Ten theme and modify it, or do I CREATE a new, blank functions.php file in the child theme folder and just add the necessary data? Thanks.

In reply to: What's wrong with this table?Ah. Of course! I changed them to 160 and all is well. Thanks a lot!
