I deleted all the blank lines that seem relevant in those files as well. I’m getting nowhere with this 🙁 I’m tempted to save my DB delete everything and start with a clean install of everything.

You could use Event Calendar 3. It just isn’t supported really anymore. There are some fixes for some bugs that you will have to track down to get it to work properly. It basically uses regular posts.
