Hello. Thank you for replying to my issue, but what about the initial question?

In reply to: [Mingle Forum] [Plugin: Mingle Forum] Ads do not workThank you for your reply. It is working fine now.
While I know that wordpress does strip some content, I doubt that this is something that is forced, otherwise plugins such as wp-insert would not work.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Mingle Forum] Mingle Forum Gone?Hello, you’re welcome.
It seems that the latest update is to “Fixed bug in admin” unfortunately that is meaningless. I tested our install and the ads are still broken.
I think that some users complained to wordpress and they temporarily dropped it until the issues were addressed. After all, the developer claims that it works with WordPress 3.4! I do not know how they can claim this when the WordPress support forum and even his own support forum are filled with users reporting issues and getting no replies. It is really infuriating.
I mentioned this in one of my other posts.
Another version has been released, but again it does not fix the issue with ads. Maybe the developer is addressing the issues that have been reported for a long time, even though they stated on the WordPress repository listing that it worked.

In reply to: [Mingle Forum] Mingle Forum Gone?It went away? It seems to be back with an update, but unfortunately the ads fail to save due to an error which strips away all of the coding. This means that you can only run basic ads such as a linked image, no ads like adsense or any other java, iframe or method will work. Unfortunately, this issue has been ongoing within the forum and has not yet been addressed. The posts within the developers forums go back around a year I think and there have been no replies for at least two months now. Such a shame as we really liked this plugin.
They have released a new version of Mingle Forum, but unfortunately, it does not address the problem we are facing with ads.
Unfortunately, it seems that this plugin is a dead end if you plan to use the advert option. The developer does not seem to be addressing the issues within their own forum about the plugin. A real disappointment.Unfortunately, its rather worse than you would have hoped to see. This issue seems to have been first reported on Jul 16 2011 within the developers forum. The developer came into the forum and replied a few times, stating that adverts were working for him.
At the time they may have been, but it seems that later, a wordpress update caused the adverts to break.
The last reply from the developer was on Jul 17 2011.
You can view the thread here: http://cartpauj.icomnow.com/forum/mingle-forum-plugin-group1/support-forum6/google-adsense-ad-not-showing-thread1709.0/
Having read the thread (and most of the forum) and having seen the same thing happen over and over again with free plugins, I honestly wonder why we continue to rely on free plugins. So many times, developers of great open source plugins abandon their projects because it is taking up too much of their time and money to be able to develop the plugin and provide any level of support.
This leaves many people who are using the plugin with no support. In the case of Mingle Forum, there have been at least 180,862 downloads.
If you check the developers profile on WordPress, the last reply that they made to a thread was 141 days ago! The last update that they made to the plugin on WordPress was 64 days ago. If they updated the plugin just 64 days ago, it makes you wonder why they have not replied to recent posts within their forum that are more than 64 days old. I guess that they just do not have the time.
I have been playing around and checking the mingle forum homepage.
I noticed that the forum was displaying adverts below the first post. I viewed the source code and could see that the adverts were within the same class used for the “below first post” advert slot within mingle forum.
However, it is worth noting that the coding that had been used was html coding. AdSense and other systems are not just html and as such they can break.
To test this, you can enter a fake html advert. It will not show anything on the front end, but you will see that html does save correctly.
It is likely that the plugin developer has not noticed this issue as they use standard html and not javascript. If you enter anything except html, it will entirely break it.
Use this to test that it saves:
<a href="http://domain.com"><img src=http://domain.com/image.jpg /></a>It is supposed to attach an option when creating a post so that it will be created as a forum post. It is not clear if it will leave the post where it is and it seems to be experimental at best as it does not work on many sites.
Also, the plugin has a huge issue with the ads code auto-formatting resulting in no ads at all being able to be displayed. The problem is that it is attempting to format and correct the code that is entered. It seems to only be expecting html and nothing else. However, having said that, when I tried to insert an iframe, it simply broke the entire thing and boiled the coding down to 3 useless items.
It seems that the last update for the plugin was 3 months ago http://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/log/mingle-forum/
However, it also seems that users have just started having this problem, so it could be a compatibility issue with the latest version of wordpress and mingle forum.
You can see others with the same issue within the forum (links below) and everyone that I can find seems to have reported this issue on or after April 12th!
I hope they get it fixed soon, but it may not be an issue directly with the plugin.

In reply to: [Wp-Insert] [Plugin: Wp-Insert] wp-Insert SERIOUS ISSUE with latest versionI was not stuck. If you can not get into wordpress, just go in via ftp and delete the wp-insert folder. It seems to have now been fixed and works when installed on my other sites via the repository.
Whenever you encounter a problem, you should take it as an opportunity to learn how to manage your blog. This way when issues like this happen again, you know exactly what to do.

In reply to: Is My Website Hacked?@sabinou how often does a theme or plugin ask you before using an external file? Never. Many themes use css or js from other sites.
@naidobria they are sending important data to AD & Tracking networks that will use these data to spam your email, later, or send you ADS in some way? How did you find this out? How do you know that they are sending data to ad and tracking networks *that will use the data to spam your email or send ads*??? It seems like a rather specific assumption which I could only assume would be based on evidence. If the plugin is making a call home, it will be in conflict with the plugin repository terms. However, it seems that jetpack does the same. If the plugin is sending your email address, they are not only breaking the repository terms, but they are also breaking the law.
Hello, I could see you on my site checking the sitemaps that should be present and you too were getting a 404. I assume that the beta version of your plugin for MU is broken and is a dead end.
Do you have any solutions or should I just class this as a no go and use other plugins for my MU sites?
Ive been digging around a bit more and I can see the following:
1) Google XML Sitemap plugin can only be seen in the plugins menu on the network site.
2) Once activated, it provides the following link to the settings from the plugins list: http://e-commerce.ph/wp-admin/network/options-general.php?page=google-sitemap-generator/sitemap.php
This address is naturally incorrect as it produces a 404 error. Google XML Sitemap plugin can only be accessed via the base site and all other sites in the settings menu, but not from within the network site where it links to.I know this is a beta, but it seems to have so many issues, I may have to switch to an alternative so that it creates a sitemap as I need it for the search engines. I have used your plugin for years upon years and I hate to change, but needs must.
