The plugins were checked. I just did a fresh install of 3.91 through the dashboard and still have the problem. I don’t know how to use the default theme since we have a very complicated custom site that runs a filemaker database.

This morning I tried manually creating the 05 folder and also set its permissions to Read/Write for everyone temporarily to make sure the problem wasn’t permissions-related. It still didn’t work.

I turned on WordPress’s debugging option to see if I could spot the problem and then I tried an upload (which failed). Here is what the debug log said:

[15-May-2014 17:18:16 UTC] PHP Notice: add_option was called with an argument that is deprecated since version 2.3 with no alternative available. in /Library/FileMaker Server/HTTPServer/htdocs/wp/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3195

[15-May-2014 17:18:16 UTC] PHP Notice: load_plugin_textdomain was called with an argument that is deprecated since version 2.7 with no alternative available. in /Library/FileMaker Server/HTTPServer/htdocs/wp/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3195

Not sure what it means relative to the update that you did but when i look at the functions.php page it was updated on May 5 but almost everything else in that folder was updated on Mar 27. When I look inside the functions.php file it doesn’t say what version of WordPress it came from. I searched for 3.9 inside the file and did find a reference to it so it must be 3.9.

I found some posts that talked about incompatible plug-ins but your site isn’t using any of the ones that were mentioned. I temporarily disabled all the plug-ins and tried again and it still did not go so I re-enabled the plug-ins and ruled that out as a cause.

I saw a post that talked about adding the “GD Library” plug-in to solve the problem. I found a lot of Plug-ins by GD but could not find “GD Library” and didn’t want to just install every GD plug-in to see if that would fix it.

The conversion to the new server was completed on 3/30. I don’t see anything in the Uploads folder after that date so I don’t know if you tried and failed to upload media (i.e. broken before 3.9) or if nothing was tried. There is no guarantee that if we downgrade to 3.8.3 that it will fix the problem especially if we don’t know if it was ever working since the conversion.

On the chance that something was uploaded incorrectly I checked the root folder. There should be nothing there except for a couple of pages and everything else WordPress should be in the “wp” folder. I found a number of files dated 3/27 including one “xmlrpc.php” at the root level. I removed this one because there is a newer one in the wp folder. Still did not fix the problem.

    I am on 3.91

After updating to WP 3.1, my media upload or add new media won’t work. It was fine before. We have a like to Filepro 13 Server and did an upgrade just before the WordPress update. We have a custom theme with no support. We don’t have plugins except SEO and Tinymce and Contact 7. The tech expert for Filepro does not seem to be able to find a solution. Can anyone help me get it to work.
