In reply to: Hacked by a Linkback requestThey sent me comment and asked if I wanted to share links!
I have a screenshot of the request if it would help. I saved it as a jpeg file.
Is it possible to change the date of the files that were revised/uploaded?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Hacked by a Linkback requestTook another look at the sequence of events. The request for a link was made on 2009/10/11.
The earliest corrupted file that I have found is marked as 2009/10/04 and was in my wp-includes directory as an index file.
The next one was in my appadmin file as index file dated 2009/10/19.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Hacked by a Linkback requestYes. They came as a comment to a post. I checked their website and it seemed legit so I added them to my links. I seem to recall checking sometime after that to see if my site was listed on theirs, but I don,t think it was and so I stopped checking after a while.

In reply to: Site attacked with WordPress 3.0I am cleaning up numerous websites (all WP based_some with WP 3.04-some inactive) that are all belong to an server account with multiple domains. It appears that the rogue files were uploaded on Dec 17 2010 and somehow activated in the new year with rewrites taking place just after 12 am Jan 1 2011. There were 2 php files in the main directory of the sites that ended up modifying my index.php files. Is there somewhere that I can get some assistance with security for this? My server support seems to be shrugging their shoulders.
Thanks, TerryForum: Plugins
In reply to: [Grunion Contact Form] [Plugin: Grunion Contact Form] Not receiving messages.Did this get resolved? I tried this plug in today and received test messages on my website, but I have not received the messages in my Outlook inbox.
Here is what I would like the plugin to do.
I am assembling a new WP site for a client and I am logging all of the ID#’s that are assigned to Pages/Posts/Categories/Sub Categories and so on.
I realized that using the My Order function will only allow me to arrange Category/Sub Category and I cannot turn the sub category display on or off.
When I try to use the ID method it works only to Include ID#’s and I cannot get the Exclude function to work at the same time. This you say might be an issue to mix the two arguments.
However I cannot get the Display Child function to work on its’ own either. It displays No categories when I try it.
Basically I would to use the Widget in a number of different ways, in different locations, on the site but I need to figure out why it lacks functionality for me.
ThanksI want to order the categories in specific ways, but the widget seems to break if I try to change any of its settings in the widget page. It will work with the My Category Order changes for the category order and sub category order, but if I try to use the ID setting and place ID# numbers in the include/exclude tree then I get the No Categories display. If I use the My Order,ID or Slug settings it will work until I put something in the other template boxes.
I realize that sometimes there is a theme issue with certain plugins, but I have had no success with these settings in Twenty Ten either.
I am using the ID#’s only separated by commas. Is this not correct?Beautiful, easy to use, easy to install and admin. Everything the other 5 that I tried, weren’t!

In reply to: Can’t upload images WP 2.9.2We are working with example.ca to launch a WordPress blog. We have tried to install it in a sub-directory of the url example.ca which is in Drupal, called example.ca/blog but we are having issues with images and embedded links that do work or display. The install was done through cpanel and Fantastico. I have searched for answers to this and it might be something to do with index.php and .htaccess files that are part of the root directory? Can this be fixed or do we need to move the blog into a sub domain?
