SUCCESS! Thank you so much. I wasn’t able to work on it till a few minutes ago, but I had not cleared ‘recent history’ under Tools, and I don’t know if that is what did it or not, but it must have, because now all is back to normal.
I thank you for your help; it really stresses me when something this big (to me) goes wrong. I appreciate the help. Hope I can pass it on someday.

I tried your suggestion, and did it twice without any luck. Was really hoping that would fix it. But I do have more information.
I thought to check another blog, that is basically inactive, though I also updated WordPress on it a few weeks ago. But it has only a couple of old posts, no comments, I’m just not working on it right now.
It too has the same problem. Could it be some compatibility issue with the iTunes/Safari update I did? I use Firefox, but wanted to do the iTunes update, and the Safari update was required for that too.
Any other suggestions appreciated. Thanks.
