Check out the Victory theme (http://www.victoryframework.com), it’s a framework for political websites. It covers the bases of a campaign site- image/video slider, action buttons, and social media. Fully integrated donations are arriving soon.
The style is highly customizable, though more child themes should be ready soon to give you more variety. It’s also free to try, which is nice.
