Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Database corruption?I just restored the database SQL file. I tried an auto install of WP on the new server and it worked OK until I imported the SQL file from the previous server. Them WP could not communicate with the database. That makes me think there is something in the database backup which prevents WP from seeing the db. Never had this happen before.

In reply to: help after site hackedI would if I had the cash but am retired and live on small income. The site costs enough as it is so will probably just dump it.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: help after site hackedThanks for the links. I have seen most of them and some of the techniques they describe are beyond me. What I did: remove WP from the server and reinstall. Cleaned out the database and restored from a backup. Change all passwords. Noticed that there was a script in .htaccess so removed it. Still got problems e.g. if you do a Google search on photohsop tutorial for beginners my site is listed:
Free Adobe Photoshop Tutorials For Beginners — Discount -133 …
organicgarden.org.uk/square-foot-gardening/plant-spacings – Cached
Software store discount with -122% price off for Free Adobe Photoshop Tutorials For Beginners. Our prices: Windows 7 ultimate ($129.90), Microsoft Office …But clicking on the link takes the searcher to one of my pages. There are many other examples!
How do I stop this? Do I remove my site from Google?
I did use http://sitecheck.sucuri.net/scanner/ and it said everything was OK so am still confused.
