In reply to: Stop DaddyI tried it on Safari and it worked lickidy split – which actually raises some concerns as to why it did not work with IE7..but i think i can handle working on this with my Mac. Thank you for the suggestion, the courtey install offer, but more importantly, thank you for providing a solution.

In reply to: Stop Daddy@gd host – yes, to all your questions. i communicated with tech support several times and have tried several different variations of info during the install process. still nothing. On the weekend when i have more time, i will change to Linux and see if that helps. Id prefer NOT to switch domains but have already looked into the possibility. I have been satisfied with godaddy up until this point and recently renewed my domain with them. but the reality is, i need wordpress for this particular project and if i cannot resolve this by the end of the month i may be forced to switch.

In reply to: Stop Daddyi had a domain with HG some years back. from what i recall the live chat was somewhat frustrating and appeared to be not really “live”, but an automated virtual deal with someone off shore who was not able to really help. Additionally, i had to call their tech support and the techs were, well – lets just say, less than friendly. but that was about 3 years ago, maybe things have changed. Im not in an immediate rush to get this done. My renewal is in Oct and if i cannot get this resolved by then i may switch, but not to HG.
