In reply to: [Simple SEO] Pages can no longer be saved after editing@bytes4fun This should be posted in the forums and asked for assistance, not a 2 star review… Please provide the error message you are getting so I may further assist you. No information means no solution.

In reply to: [Simple SEO] v2.0.14 breaks site@barcelo Can you give me some more details? What error messages are you receiving? Please include PHP logs or messages. I am aware that the latest 2.0.14 has an error in regards to the post_types section for sitemaps under settings, but I am not getting errors on my end when testing.

In reply to: [Simple SEO] Error importing data from Yoast@billhector This was not an apology. It was a statement that the issue has been resolved.
Further more, and for the public to know, I have reported you to WP administration. Frankly you are a rude person, quick to judge, and not at all concerned with others. A simple report of the coding error and giving me time to resolve it would have avoided all this “drama” you post.
The issue is resolved, I appreciate that you found the coding issue and let me know; even though it was after your rash claims of phishing and a negative review.

In reply to: [Simple SEO] Error importing data from Yoast@billhector The issue of the redirects has been resolved. test of the import functionality is 100% working. Thank you for pointing out I left the testing domain URL in the import button HTML. This explains why it worked for me, but not you. Thank you.

In reply to: [Simple SEO] Error importing data from Yoast@billhector Thank you for sharing your findings. coleds.com is my main domain for my business. the wp subdomain is my testing environment for Simple SEO and other WordPress plugins I develop. Apparently in the code it is set to go to these URLs instead of the website URL where the plugin is installed. This is an error on my part, not a phishing scam. I will correct it on my next update.
I am aware of a Elementor error with PHP 8+, but not one that involves Simple SEO. If you have this information please send it so I can further debug. I have tested Elementor and Simple SEO on PHP 8.1 without issue.
Simple SEO is not integrated (yet) into Elementor. Errors regarding Elementor will need to be addressed to those developers.

In reply to: [Simple SEO] Sketchy experience with this plugin@billhector Your accusation is false and incorrect. You have not supplied proper information for me to debug or trouble shoot your issue. As in my response to your support question (or I should say statements) you posted, supplied no verified information, no logs, no error messages, no links, etc. Nor have you given me proper time to debug and address your concerns.
I am sorry your experience with Simple SEO has been bad. But leaving a negative review because you alone have an issue is childish. If you would have patience and supply the proper information I would be more than happy to help.

In reply to: [Simple SEO] Error importing data from Yoast@billhector I am very confused about your comments. Simple SEO does not redirect anywhere. Nor is it phishing for information, you can check the code. I’ve tested the import functionality up to PHP 8.1 without issue.
please explain what is redirecting, and please supply the error you received. I can than better assist you.

In reply to: [Simple SEO] Error importing data from Rank Math@olistic I would recommend using PHP 7.4 or 8.0 for the time being. It seems there are lots of issues with PHP 8.1 and WordPress. Changing my development server for SimpleSEO to 8.1.13 and I see the minimum of 500+ errors regardings WordPress, not SimpleSEO.
I’m going to mark this as resolved as its a conflict with PHP 8.1 & WordPress.

In reply to: [Simple SEO] Error importing data from Rank MathThis should direct you in the right direction. If you have FTP access you can find the error log in there. Possible a file called “error_log”, or a folder called “logs”. It depends upon your hosting provider and server operating system. You can also turn on debug mode in WordPress and run the import again, that will show the errors.
