  • It might not be possible to do it using JavaScript, it depends on what your SWF files actually contain. I think, as you already have the SWF files created, it would be easiest to just use them.

    If you follow my steps above to create a child theme, in the file header.php (above) replace the following: YOUR SWF CODE GOES HERE
    with this:

    <!--[if IE]>
    <object
        type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
        data="REPLACE THIS"
        codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=7,0,0,0"
        width="200"
        height="400">
        <param name="wmode" value="opaque" />
        <param name="movie" value="REPLACE THIS" />
    </object><![endif]--><!--[if !IE]><!-->
    <object
        type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
        data="REPLACE THIS"
        width="200"
        height="400">
        <param name="wmode" value="opaque" />
        <param name="movie" value="REPLACE THIS" />
    </object><!--<![endif]-->

    You will need to replace each instace of REPLACE THIS with the URL of your SWF file.

    I hope this helps.

    Also, I assume you are doing all this in a child theme? Otherwise these changes may be lost if you update the theme.

    Have you heard of page templates?
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Pages#Creating_Your_Own_Page_Templates

    Create a new file, and add the following:

    <?php
    /*
    Template Name: Full Width
    */
    get_header(); ?>
                   <div class="page-heading">
                      <h1 class="page-title"><?php the_title(); ?></h1>
                <div class="clear"></div>
             </div>
             <!--Start Page Content -->
             <div class="page-content-container">
                      <div class="page-content">
                         <div class="grid_16 alpha">
                            <div class="content-bar">
    			<?php if (have_posts()) : the_post(); ?>
                    <?php the_content(); ?>
    				<div class="clear"></div>
    				<?php wp_link_pages( array( 'before' => '<div class="page-link"><span>' . __( 'Pages:', 'black-bird' ) . '</span>', 'after' => '</div>' ) ); ?>
                <?php endif; ?>

        <!--Start Comment box-->
    		<?php comments_template(); ?>
                <!--End Comment box-->

              </div>
        </div>
    	</div>
    	 </div>
          </div>
       </div>
    </div>
    <?php get_footer(); ?>

    Then save that file as full-width.php.

    This should work, let me know if it doesn’t.

    Oh okay, I’m a bit confused – I take it how it looks in live preview is how you want it to look?

    Looking at the source code, you have your navigation bar ul commented out.
    You’ll need to edit somewhere around line 22 of your header.php file 🙂

    If you haven’t already, you will need to create a child theme.
    I made a tutorial on how to do this for my own theme, but if you replace every instance of “Totum5” with “twentyeleven” it’s the same process.

    How to make a WordPress child theme

    Once you’ve created Style.css create a file called “header.php” and add the following:

    <?php
    /**
     * The Header for our theme.
     *
     * Displays all of the <head> section and everything up till <div id="main">
     *
     * @package WordPress
     * @subpackage Twenty_Eleven
     * @since Twenty Eleven 1.0
     */
    ?><!DOCTYPE html>
    <!--[if IE 6]>
    <html id="ie6" <?php language_attributes(); ?>>
    <![endif]-->
    <!--[if IE 7]>
    <html id="ie7" <?php language_attributes(); ?>>
    <![endif]-->
    <!--[if IE 8]>
    <html id="ie8" <?php language_attributes(); ?>>
    <![endif]-->
    <!--[if !(IE 6) | !(IE 7) | !(IE 8)  ]><!-->
    <html <?php language_attributes(); ?>>
    <!--<![endif]-->
    <head>
    <meta charset="<?php bloginfo( 'charset' ); ?>" />
    <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width" />
    <title><?php
    	/*
    	 * Print the <title> tag based on what is being viewed.
    	 */
    	global $page, $paged;

    	wp_title( '|', true, 'right' );

    	// Add the blog name.
    	bloginfo( 'name' );

    	// Add the blog description for the home/front page.
    	$site_description = get_bloginfo( 'description', 'display' );
    	if ( $site_description && ( is_home() || is_front_page() ) )
    		echo " | $site_description";

    	// Add a page number if necessary:
    	if ( $paged >= 2 || $page >= 2 )
    		echo ' | ' . sprintf( __( 'Page %s', 'twentyeleven' ), max( $paged, $page ) );

    Is using an SWF absolutely necessary for what you want though? If you are just using it as an image slideshow, JavaScript is a much cleaner way of doing it.

    Assuming I’ve understood you correctly, I think what you are looking for is meta keywords. Google meta keywords for WordPress and you should find something to help. However, a lot of SEO is down to the content – it’s more important to have a good amount of keywords in your content, and people will be able to find you.

    Settings -> Reading
    Click the radio button next to “Static Page” and choose the page which you want to display instead of the blog.

    If you don’t want a blog at all, just leave the “posts page” blank.

    I’m not too familiar with translations, but I would guess at it using the theme specific translation file then the WordPress one.

    The Genesis Framework is good, but it might be overkill for what you need. What exactly are your needs from this theme?

    Yes, it should be in your fr_FR.po file, assuming that is the same as twentyten.pot.

    Sorry I can’t be of much more help than this!

    In the CSS there is a style “.singular.page .hentry”, in that there is “padding: 3.5em 0 0;”.

    Change the 3.5 to zero, or whatever value you want.

    I’m not entirely sure I understand this second bit, did you want to remove the page title? ie. on the first page “Tømrerrasmus”?

    I don’t mean to be rude, but this really is something you should be asking the theme developer to help with as they are charging for the theme. Looking at the theme on ThemeForest, they have made at least £60,000 selling this theme, as they get 50% of the sale initially. In reality, they will have made more than this as the 50% rises to 70% as they make more sales. It’s because of this that I think it’s quite unfair to expect volunteers here, who are not being endorsed by the theme owner in anyway, to solve any problems with the theme.

    As it stands, I can’t access the theme files without buying it, so I can’t take a look for you. Is there a custom CSS option? If there is, put your new CSS in there and add !important after all the ones that aren’t working.

    I’m afraid I can’t really help without being able to see the files myself, which I can’t because it’s a premium theme. I apologise about this, because it’s developers like this which give myself and other good developers a bad name.

    I may have misunderstood you, but I think all you need to do is create a page and assign it a parent, where the parent is the main nav button.
