#mattyrob,
Ok, yes, I see now that you have two droppable Subscribe2 elements in the widgets area, and one has the requiered field.
Thanks !
Corinne#Matty,
Thanks for the quick answer.
(Make sure you can get the HTML layout you like in the free version before buying though).
What do you mean ? What HTML layout in the free version ?
Corinne
Hi MattyRob,
Problem solved : it was a settings problem after all :
I realized that the option “Disable email notifications is checked by default on authoring pages?” was checked in the settings, wich was logical to me because I don’t want to send mails for new Pages. But it seems to apply to new Articles/posts, too. This was a language problem in the end (I’m french) !Thanks for your help
CorinneMattyRob,
Thanks for your explanations.
I’ve been in touch with someone at the hosting company : the mail log shows no error whatsoever.I’m slightly discouraged. Will ask the company about antispam policy. after that, I don’t know what to do.
Thanks anyway
CorinneMattyRob,
Thanks for your suggestions.
Yes, the email address exists and I’ve checked it. It’s on the same domain as my website.
I’ve contacted the hosting company, but they haven’t been very helpful so far. The guy said mail sending was not blocked on my domain, and so there must be a problem with the Subscribe2 settings. I’ve checked but the “Send email for each post” is checked : what else can I do ?
Question : it is normal that the test messages are sent ok, and not the normal ones ? Do both call the same sending routine ?
Corinne
Thanks for your answer.
By work arounds I mean the ones you mentioned :
– I changed the sender address and now it’s the site’s postmaster address.
– I set the number of recipients per email to 1.I’ve checked the settings dozens of times. Don’t know what to do next !
Corinne
Hi Matty,
I’ve got the same problem : Subscribe2 works ok on one website, but not on another one (both under WP 3.3.1). The hosting company is the same in both cases.
I’ve tried the workarounds you mentioned above, but nothing happened. Test emails are sent ok, though.
I’ve been trying other newsletter plugins, and their mails are sent ok, so I suppose there’s no pb with sending mails via PHP (but I prefer your plugin, it does exactly what I need… when I can get it to work !).
Thanks in advance

In reply to: Good and simple slideshow plugin (excluding Nextgen Gallery) ?Thanks Mike,
I’ve installed and tried Meteor Slideshow, it works fine. But I find it very tedious to create a new slide for each image you want to add to a slideshow. Might be a bit long if we want to regularly create new slideshows.
Thanks anyway.

In reply to: CMS and Members access?Hi,
I have quite the same need, except that there’s no payment involved.
I just want some articles of my WP blog to be accessible only to registered users, and some others to be accessible to anyone. “Roles” are an interesting thing, but they can only be used as far as modifying the blog content is concerned, not its viewing : too bad !
I thought it would be quite simple, but it does not seem to be ! I can use the is_user_logged_in function to display the articles of a category or not in the sidebar, but this is no efficient blocking if the unregistered user gets a direct link to an article !
I’d also like to avoid the htaccess solution because I don’t want two blogs.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks
Corinne
