It was a plugin conflict. I deactivated other user role plugins like PublishPress, User Role Editor and it worked.

Thank you. It worked. But the banner/thumbnail image is now showing twice. I will have to look into fixing this because it doesn’t look nice. The post author has been changed after switching to a classic editor. Now, I would like to know if two post authors can be added to one event so that they can both have access to the event dashboard. Is it possible?
