Yea I did some scary changes in 2.4.1, can you tell me when and where you see this?
Any by the way deleting /var/www/html/mydomain.com/wp-content/mu-plugins/cimy_uef_mu_activation.php did not solve the issue.
Ok so is the error message changed? Do you have other files around to delete?
As said, it is NOT possible. File a WordPress feature request.
I believe the only problem is the missed deletion of the file:
/var/www/html/mydomain.com/wp-content/mu-plugins/cimy_uef_mu_activation.phpwhich probably (and correctly) you added manually.
Did you delete all files also? If still persists you have to enable debug log and tell me what you get:

WordPress default registration form was adding tabindex till v3.4 too, I am not like an alien that was doing this all alone, come on.I just noticed now that they removed them together with WordPress 3.5, fine, I will remove them too.
But don’t point fingers like you heard something crazy while it is not.
