    Hey there,

Thank you for your replies. I have managed to add an extra < <meta name=”robots” content=”noindex, noarchive” /> > greater and smaller symbols to remove them within Real-Time Find and Replace plugin.

However, it doesn’t feel right to be dependent on this plugin. When I deactivated this plugin, noindex, noarchive appears again which is a fatal thing for my website.

Tom, I have already checked it and my site is visible to search engines.

However, I would like to tell you about the problem from the beginning. Once I discovered your wonderful theme, I spent some time modifying it and started using without a problem.

Then I fell for this AMP thing which I was already trying to deal with while I had other themes.

I found this most popular AMP plugin on WP and started using it. Then after I few days, I hated it because I needed to pay for it if I wanted to customize my AMP pages. But with the free version, my website looked very generic and I hated it!

So I did my research and followed some methods regarding getting rid of AMP pages. I read somewhere that I should add this <meta name=”robots” content=”noindex, noarchive” /> into AMP head section in order to prevent search engines to look for my AMP pages and also added another set of code into Real-Time Find and Replace in order to remove amp additions.

After a while, these guides tell you that you can go back to normal. But when I deactivated it and went to Google Search Console, I noticed that my site cannot be indexed anymore.

So I saw this <meta name=”robots” content=”noindex, noarchive” /> code added just after the head section, before body tag.

I went through all the PHP files in Generate Press to understand where it comes from but cannot find any tips.

To be honest, I don’t want to use this real-time plugin forever but also I don’t want to start customizing my theme from scratch.

    Any ideas for me?

    Thank you very much!

    Kind regards
    Osman

    Hello Leo,

Thank you! I have been using Real-Time Find and Replace since a few weeks because while I was dealing with AMP pages (Now I have given up on this and not using any amp pages) I accidentally added <meta name=”robots” content=”noindex, noarchive” /> to my page and I couldn’t find a way to remove it except with Real-Time Find and Replace.

So when I deactivated this plugin <> goes away but noindex, noarchive comes back 🙁

    Ever seen this problem?

    Thank you very much!
    Kind regards
