@bruno
On your current setup how much traffic are you getting.. Currently i was testing this out with varnish on the front with nginx+php-fpm backend and seperate db server and memcache machine i notice when i ran benchmark test using siege with 200-300 concurrent connections the backend would die quickly untill the cache has been populated in varnish.
Hi Alexsc.
Dumb idea but have you tried disabling keep alives on the apache by any chance?
I’ve tried that in the past on couple sites seems to help.
I also can double that seems like version 2.0.4 is running bit slow — we host couple wordpress sites and one of them which i upgraded on monday to version 2.0.4 seems to run very slow at times even the server slows down when it comes time to post.. i have wp-cache enabled – seems to help without it the server load spikes up to 20-25%.. any suggestions from wordpress gods..
her server is runn freebsd 6.1 php-4.4.2 – mysql-4.1.20
