I too had a similar issue, but I received the WSOD. Looking at my PHP settings, my host (bluehost) defaults to pHp5.2

I installed your “fix” and it loaded up without any issues, so it looks like your fix works.
Be happy to test anything else for you.
I will also look into upgrading PHP to 5.4

I don’t “think” cpanel is installed with the minimal version of cpanel.

I am looking for instructions on installing WordPress on WHS 2011. Do you know where to find them? I know of an installer for V1, but I can’t find one for 2011
